Even though the 22 has the layout and ride characteristics of a larger boat, it is still very easy to maneuver and handle. It is also a full 1 foot wider than most 22’ boats which gives passengers more space to move around the cabin and also makes it safer while getting ready for water activities. The 22’ Walker Bay feels and behaves like a bigger boat because of the it’s progressive deck layout that maximizes space and comfort.
The Walker Bay 22 has a helm that is positioned towards the stern which adds several benefits:
- The bow area is larger and more spacious.
- The driver is further to the rear which is more comfortable when in rough conditions.
- Passengers will feel like they are in a much larger boat.

The Walker Bay is designed with a wide beam, giving both the driver and passengers plenty of space and comfort—something you’d typically expect from much larger boats. The oversized console not only provides great protection for the driver but also has plenty of room for electronics like a stereo or two 12″chart plotters. Plus, its innovative polyurethane stringer system fuses the hull and deck into a single, solid piece, offering extra strength, positive flotation, and a smoother, more shock-absorbing ride.
